Day and night temperature fluctuations are minimised due to the corrugated metal exterior structure which reflects UV rays and, unlike plastic silos, Roxell feed silos do not absorb the heat which creates air humidity and condensation. With less moisture and condensation, the galvanised feed storage silos prevent feed from congealing and the accumulation of mould.
The design of the interior of the storage silo has a smooth protective coating and no bolts in the feed flow at the bottom of the hopper, ensuring smooth feed flow.
These silos are durable and maintenance friendly, with galvanisation 25% above normal standards and a 5-year warranty against perforation by corrosion. All the components – silo body, hopper brace and legs are constructed to the highest standards, including German approval (Deutscher typenprufung) and EN 1090 standard for Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and built to withstand heavy storms with windspeeds up to 30 metres/second.
The Climatec Group can supply the Collinson range of Silos available in a plasteel finish in a colour of choice to blend with existing buildings or meet planning requirements. The S1 agricultural silos have capacities from 7 – 35 tonnes.
The 60o cone on the S1 silo has been designed for pelleted products and whole grains, allowing them to discharge freely whilst ensuring that feed is stored in the optimum condition.
Level indicators allow a visual check on how much feed is left in the bin.The heavy duty 5mm filler pipe bend gently sweeps over the roof of the silo, minimising pellet degradation and to aid biosecurity on site, the autovent closes during pneumatic filling.
